Itinerary In Details
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Take the day to relax and prepare for your upcoming adventure. A pre-safari briefing will be provided by your guide.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its majestic baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park’s diverse habitats, watching for lions, zebras, and wildebeest.
Day 3: Tarangire – Central Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive through the highlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving in the Serengeti in time for an afternoon game drive. Witness the vast plains teeming with wildlife lions, leopards, giraffes, and possibly the first glimpse of the migrating herds.
Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti (Central to Northern Region)
Spend the day following the movement of the Great Migration. Depending on the season, your guide will take you toward the Northern Serengeti (June–October) or the Southern/Ndutu Area (December–March). Watch as thousands of wildebeest and zebra cross rivers or graze peacefully across the plains.
Day 5: Full Day Migration Viewing
Enjoy another full day exploring the Serengeti’s migration zone. Witness thrilling predator-prey interactions as lions, cheetahs, and crocodiles take advantage of the abundance of wildlife. Capture unforgettable photos and experience the raw beauty of the African savannah.
Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After an early breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive before heading toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop for scenic photos and, optionally, visit a Maasai village to learn about their traditional lifestyle. Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim in the evening.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive inside this “Garden of Eden.” The crater floor is home to a rich diversity of wildlife, including black rhinos, lions, hippos, and elephants. After a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, return to Arusha in the afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable migration safari.
