Arusha National Park is a year-round destination, but the best time to visit is during the dry season, from June to October. During these months, wildlife is easier to spot as animals gather around water sources, and walking or canoe safaris are more pleasant due to minimal rainfall. The wet season, from November to May, brings lush green landscapes, fewer tourists, and excellent birdwatching ideal for spotting migratory species and flamingos around the Momella Lakes. However, heavy rains in March and April can make some trails and roads less accessible. If you’re planning to climb Mount Meru, the dry season offers clearer skies and better views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Thanks to its moderate climate and varied experiences, Arusha National Park is a great introduction to Tanzania’s safari circuit any time of year.
