Itinerary

• Day 1 Arrival

  On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) which caters for domestic flights, you will be met by our representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. overnight will be at the Moivaro Lodge a Calm lodge located in the suburbs of the city with a natural set up with beautiful garden awaiting for your safari the following day.

• Day 2 Tarangire National Park

  After an early breakfast, we depart for Tarangire National Park. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet. Tarangire is the best place to see these gentle giants in their natural habitat – from the adorable calves all the way up to the intimidating bulls.

  • After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head to the Ngorongoro highlands arriving late afternoon for dinner and overnight at your Lodge.
• Day 3 Central Serengeti

  Early morning will do Balloon Safari then after have breakfast, After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and on to Serengeti National Park with game viewing drive en-route. Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. Over a million wildebeest and about 185,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back. Serengeti is truly home of the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration. The Serengeti National Park is where safari-goers come to truly experience an African safari. The park is featured on many National Geographic shows.

  • You will arrive at Embalakai Tented Camp for dinner and Overnight.
• Day 4 & 5 Ngorongoro Crater

  After breakfast, we will drive straight to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend down the crater which is almost 600m deep. When you first see Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world. Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland and glistening lakes and swamps. The Crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve which is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The drive down into the Crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the Crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands.

  • After Lunch and an extensive game drive inside the crater, we head for our luxury partner lodges for dinner and overnight.
• Day 6 North Serengeti National Park

  The northern region of the Serengeti is a vast pristine area of wooded rolling hills interspersed with open grassy patches and large granite outcrops. The Northern Serengeti offers a chance to escape the crowds: this region of the park – wedged between the Central Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve to the north – is remote and relatively inaccessible, which means it sees fewer visitors. Travelers who make it to this corner of the Serengeti will be rewarded with gorgeous landscapes of green rolling hills, granite outcrops and acacia woodlands dotting open savanna, incredible wildlife, and most importantly, with massive herds of wildebeest and zebra making the dangerous crossing of the crocodile-infested Mara River during the Great Migration in June and July and again in September, October and November.

  • Meals and overnight at your carefully selected accommodation for dinner and overnight.
• Day 7 Ngorongoro - Arusha

  Early morning after breakfast, we depart to Ngorongoro crater. When you first see Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world.
