For the best safari experience, we recommend arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) before 09:00 AM. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your professional Lowen Safaris guide before departing for the spectacular Tarangire National Park. Known for its ancient baobab trees, vast savannah landscapes and impressive elephant population, Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s hidden gems. Enjoy an exciting game drive while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, impalas and numerous bird species. After a memorable afternoon of wildlife viewing, continue to Karatu where you’ll check in at your lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
