Welcome to Tanzania’s Wildlife Paradise
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your professional Lowen Safaris guide before departing directly for Tarangire National Park. Known for its magnificent baobab trees, seasonal Tarangire River and one of Africa’s largest elephant populations, the park offers an excellent introduction to Tanzania’s incredible wildlife. During your first game drive, keep an eye out for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes and numerous bird species. Later in the afternoon continue to Karatu where you’ll enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
