Arrival & Walking Safari Experience

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional Lowen Safaris guide. Transfer time depends on your arrival airport:

• Kilimanjaro International Airport → Arusha (Approx. 1–1.5 Hours)
• Arusha Airport → Arusha Town (Approx. 20–30 Minutes)

After refreshments, continue to Arusha National Park for a unique safari experience. Arusha National Park is the only park in Tanzania’s Northern Circuit where visitors can enjoy a guided walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger.

Lake Manyara National Park Safari

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park. Driving Time: Approximately 2.5 Hours. Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch before proceeding to Karatu in the late afternoon.

After an early breakfast, depart for the spectacular Northern Serengeti. Driving Time: Approximately 5½ Hours including game viewing en route. During the journey you will enjoy game viewing through the Serengeti ecosystem before arriving at your luxury camp in the evening.

Final Game Drive & Journey to Karatu

After enjoying a rewarding morning and early afternoon game drive, depart for the beautiful town of Karatu, located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Driving Time: Approximately 4 Hours. Arrive in the evening and enjoy a relaxing dinner while preparing for tomorrow’s adventure inside the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater.

Explore Africa’s Natural Wonder

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before descending over 600 metres into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”, the crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and is home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife. Spend the day exploring the crater floor while searching for the famous Big Five before enjoying a picnic lunch surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Later in the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Final Safari & Departure

After breakfast, depart for the beautiful Tarangire National Park. Driving Time: Approximately 1½ Hours. Tarangire is famous for its enormous elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and exceptional wildlife concentrations, especially during the dry season. Enjoy your final game drive through the park while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes and numerous plains animals before stopping for a picnic lunch. Later in the afternoon, begin your return journey to Arusha. Driving Time to Arusha: Approximately 2½ Hours.
