Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional Lowen Safaris guide. Transfer time depends on your arrival airport:

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park. Driving Time: Approximately 2.5 Hours. Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its lush groundwater forest, alkaline lake, excellent birdlife and the rare tree-climbing lions. After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before descending over 600 metres into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World", the crater is the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and is home to one of Africa's highest concentrations of wildlife. Spend the day exploring the crater floor while searching for the famous Big Five before enjoying a picnic lunch surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Later in the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
